It's a new year, and it's on track to be our biggest yet! I wanted to start it off with a bang, so I invited one of my favorite singers to record a few piano/guitar duets with me earlier this month!
The first song we recorded was "A Thousand Years," by Christina Perri:
The first time I was asked to do this at a wedding, I was a bit skeptical because I knew it was from the Twilight soundtrack... I have to say, though, I think it's a great song and it was by far the most-requested, most-performed wedding song of 2014. When I first heard the "Glee" version of this song, I realized it was the perfect duet and wanted to record it.
We also did "Breathe," by Taylor Swift and Colbie Caillat:
I had a totally "Nashville" experience last month at a coffee shop: I looked up and realized I was sitting three feet away from Taylor Swift! I reconnected with her catalogue and remembered this was one of my favorites from her "Fearless" album.
Here's to a great 2015 - see you at the next gig!
